We are delighted to announce our new partnership with JD Tandems, the United Kingdom’s best known tandem specialists.
From the end of July, visitors to the JD Tandems showroom will be able to see and test ride a dedicated Campmajó electric tandem, giving UK riders the opportunity to experience first hand the engineering, comfort, stability and performance that define every Campmajó tandem.
A new way for UK riders to discover Campmajó tandems
The first Campmajó tandem available at JD Tandems has been chosen to fill a clear gap in the UK tandem market: a modern electric tandem featuring a low step-through frame at both the front and rear, making it accessible to a wider range of riders while retaining the performance expected from a high-quality tandem.
While this model has been developed to address a specific need within the UK market, it represents only one part of the Campmajó range. Our range includes road, gravel and touring tandems, hardtail and full-suspension mountain bikes, as well as dedicated cross-country, all-mountain, enduro, time trial and track models, making Campmajó one of the few manufacturers offering a complete range of tandem bicycles for virtually every discipline.

Made-to-order tandem frames built in Spain
Like every Campmajó tandem, JD’s model is manufactured to order in Spain using premium German aluminium tubing. Drawing on years of expertise designing and welding aluminium bicycle frames, we combine the latest Bosch Smart System technology with durable, lightweight frame construction, all backed by our 5-year frame warranty.
Unlike conventional production bicycles, every Campmajó tandem is manufactured to order. This allows us to integrate the latest available technologies into every new build, while offering customers the flexibility to choose from our standard size range or a fully made-to-measure frame when required. It also reflects our commitment to more sustainable manufacturing by producing only what is needed, rather than building bicycles for stock.
A partnership built around specialist tandem cycling
This partnership brings together two companies that share the same philosophy: delivering the very best tandem cycling experience. Campmajó contributes its expertise in premium aluminium frame design and advanced electric-assist systems, while JD Tandems brings decades of experience supporting tandem riders throughout the United Kingdom with specialist advice, after-sales service and extensive product knowledge.
Ruth and Jamie will complete the demonstration tandem with their own carefully selected choice of components, while the frame and Bosch electric system will be supplied directly from our workshop in Spain. This collaboration allows customers to experience a bicycle that combines Campmajó’s engineering expertise with JD Tandems’ deep understanding of the British tandem market.
For customers across the United Kingdom, this partnership makes it easier than ever to discover what a premium, bespoke tandem at the forefront of electric bicycle technology can offer. Visitors will be able to see the bike in person, arrange a test ride and discuss their own custom build with tandem specialists before beginning the design process.
