We are delighted to present this spectacular electric gravel tandem, custom-made for Juan Carlos and Beatriz, a lovely couple from Madrid. After trying our electric enduro tandem, available for demo rides and rental at our workshop, they fell in love with the experience and decided to create their own tandem.

The story behind this tandem

Juan Carlos and Beatriz came to our workshop with the initial idea of trying an electric tandem. We prepared a demo ride for them with our full-suspension electric tandem, available for testing and rental, so they could experience first-hand what it feels like to ride a tandem with electric assistance.

The test ride was decisive. They saw that the tandem allowed them to share their routes in a much more direct and balanced way, always maintaining the same pace and enjoying every ride together. For a couple who wants to ride, travel and discover new paths, this feeling of pedalling as a team became the starting point of the project.

Juan Carlos, an experienced cyclist with many years of road riding behind him, was clear that he wanted a fast, efficient and well-equipped bike. That is why he chose an electric gravel tandem with a front dropbar handlebar, a very suitable option for long rides, secondary roads, gravel tracks and mixed terrain.

The result is a versatile and very complete tandem, designed for a couple who wants to travel, discover new places and enjoy long rides with a stable, comfortable bike ready for many shared adventures.

Main features

The main feature of this tandem is that it was designed for a couple with very different cycling levels. Juan Carlos, an experienced road cyclist, was looking for an efficient and sporty position, so the front section was configured with performance-oriented gravel geometry and a dropbar handlebar.

By contrast, the rear section was designed with maximum comfort, safety and ease of use in mind for Beatriz. The frame features a rear low-step design to make access easier for the stoker, a flat handlebar to provide a more stable and natural position, and a Cane Creek suspension seatpost with elastomers to improve comfort during the rides.

The OLI electric assistance system with a 630 Wh battery makes it easier to share long rides, maintaining a comfortable and consistent pace without the difference in fitness levels becoming a problem. This makes the tandem the perfect tool for enjoying roads, gravel tracks and gravel routes together.

In addition, the project was completed with our tandem car rack adapter, so they can transport it by car and enjoy new routes wherever they travel.
