- 7000 series aluminium frame handcrafted in Tarragona
- TIG welding, option of polished aluminium welds (additional cost)

EXTERNAL DRIVETRAIN SYSTEM
Our tandems are equipped with an external transmission system, of our own design. In this system, the primary 1:1 transmission is built externaly. This way we avoid the most common chain problems in conventional tandems.
In order to mount this system and maintain the correct chain line, we manufacture the spiders ourselves. This is why we always mount “direct mount” cranks.
REAR SPIDER
Road tandems use a double chainring, with this 110mm bcd double spider we manage to unify the three plates with the cranks.
The outer plate is fixed with a 1:1 ratio to the front plate. The two inner plates with different development are what transmit the pedaling force to the rear wheel. With the change of gears the position of one or the other is changed just like on a bicycle.
FRONT SPIDER
For the front driveline we use a simple 104mm bcd spider.
CHAIN TENSIONER
Our tandems carry our own tensioning system consisting of an Anchorage ISCG05 tensioner with an 11T jocker wheel. This system is much more practical than the conventional eccentric system.
1 – Easier to adjust, no need to remove the cranks
2 – You can tighten the chain without changing the geometry
3 – By tensioning upwards, the chain is more protected
4 – Easier to find the right tension
At Campmajó we have been developing our own chain tensioner for years and it works amazing! Even for our competition models.
ADJUSTABLE REAR STEM
To ensure maximum rider comfort, we manufacture our own adjustable stocker stem for our tandems. In this system the same stem clamp is the one that fixes the captain seat post. In this way it is possible to adjust the height of the seat without changing the stocker handlebar position. The handlebar position is adjusted with the adjustable system of the stem itself.
This system is very comfortable in general, but especially when it comes to a tandem that changes riders regularly.
