Back in 2021, the Gurugú model made history as the world’s first full-suspension tandem bike with fully integrated and removable battery. Since then, we have been relentlessly focused on improvement, refining our design and pushing boundaries to bring the most cutting-edge cycling technology to the tandem world.
Now, in 2025, we remain the only brand producing such a high-end full-suspension tandem frame. And now we are proud to announce a major milestone: our new partnership with BOSCH, the world’s most renowned name in electric bike assist systems.
Thanks to this collaboration, we can confidently say that the Gurugú 2025 is, by far, the most advanced full-suspension electric tandem bike on the market. The integration of BOSCH components is not exclusive to this model, it extends across our entire tandem lineup. But today, we are putting the spotlight on our flagship tandem: the full suspension.

The heart of this new version is the Bosch Performance Line CX motor. One of the best, if not the best, drive units for eMTB offering an immediate and smooth response with a very natural and powerful pedaling experience even on the most demanding climbs. Offering:

You can add the PowerMore, a 250Wh battery extender that attaches to the bottle cage and connects directly to the bike socket, located on the bottom of the frame, just above the motor. 📱 Total control with the Bosch Kiox 300, System Controller, and Mini Remote
The new Gurugú Bosch 2025 features the advanced Kiox 300, a 2-inch color display that offers an intuitive and multifunctional interface. This display allows detailed activity tracking, access to navigation functions, and wireless connection to the Bosch Flow app on a smartphone, greatly expanding the system’s configuration and control possibilities.
In addition, the entire electric system is managed by the System Controller, discreetly integrated into the frame, which acts as the brain of the bike.
On the handlebars, the cyclist has the Mini Remote, a minimalist and compact control that, with just three buttons, allows comfortable navigation through the Kiox 300’s menus without having to touch the screen. This system, connected via Bluetooth, not only provides functionality but also keeps the cockpit clean, tidy, and modern.

Frame structural changes and improvements
Bosch / OLI electric assist: modular frame
One of the main and revolutionary innovations is the frame’s modular design. Thanks to a new system of interchangeable CNC motor supports and a perfect sized battery box, the same frame can be fitted with both Bosch and OLI electric systems.
This revolutionizes the customization of electric tandems, allowing users to change systems without having to replace the entire frame. It also opens the door to future upgrades or adaptations of the tandem to different needs or budgets.

New drive unit box CNC mounts: more aesthetic, more practical
The motor box has been completely redesigned so that the recesses are now on the inside. This results in a cleaner, more elegant design that is also easier to maintain, as it prevents the buildup of mud and dirt. Additionally, the mount has been widened to fit seamlessly with the battery housing, ensuring a compact integration with no protruding elements.

The battery box has been redesigned to improve both its aesthetics and functionality:
- A new hexagonal design is more modern and efficient in terms of space utilization
- The horizontal weld has been eliminated, improving structural strength and visual finish
In addition, the battery cover is now separate and attached directly to the frame, making it easier to assemble and disassemble.

Swingarm redesign: wider, more tire clearance
One of our customers’ most common requests was to be able to fit wider tires. We listened to that need and redesigned the swingarm to accommodate tires up to 2.6″, which translates to:
- Greater traction on technical climbs
- More stability and control on descents
- Better absorption of vibrations and bumps
- Greater safety on loose or wet terrain

Shock absorber mount with a more integrated screw
The shock absorber mount has also been improved. It now features internal threading and a chamfered bolt, which sits perfectly flush, providing a cleaner look and a more professional finish.
The rear suspension system remains the same: 150mm of travel with a 230x65mm shock absorber, a combination that has proven to work perfectly.

GURUGÚ XC
Another move forward in the customization options of the GURUGÚ is that now it is also available in an XC version! It maintains the same base frame and the core philosophy of a full-suspension tandem, but with a more relaxed, cross-country-inspired geometry and shorter travel suspensions.
This version is designed for riders who prefer a more XC focused mountain biking experience, without the aggressive, downhill-focused approach of the Enduro model. It retains the comfort and all the advantages of rear suspension, while offering a more efficient performance on climbs and long rides.
It’s the perfect choice for bikepacking adventures, forest road tours, medium-difficulty trails, or simply for those who enjoy smoother, more controlled handling without giving up off-road capability.
