We present our latest creation! The tandem model GURUGÚ with components of the highest range that we have assembled to date. Below on this page you will find all the details about it including a list of all the high-end components of the assembly.
This high-end double suspension electric mountain tandem bike has been shipped to Atlanta, US. For a couple of bike enthusiasts who want to share their bike rides together and what better way to do it than on a tandem, and in this case, a luxury tandem! Their goal is to do long routes in the mountains so they decided to get two batteries. This way they will take one loaded to the pack carrier and when the main one runs out, they will only have to switch it and continue enjoying their route.
Main high-end components
Seatposts and gearshifter: Before delving into the details, it is important to note that both the shifter and the telescopic seatposts are electronic. This is a very good option for tandems, since having such a long frame, the minimal internal wiring makes the assembly and maintenance work much easier.
Wheels: For the first time we mounted the M34 carbon wheels from our main wheel provider, Racing Parts. These wheels are perfect for tandems as they are made with a very strong carbon. Also, as in all our other electric tandems, the hub core is made of steel to make sure it holds all the torque from 2 riders + the drive unit.
Suspensions: Both, Shock and fork are the newest and best quality from Rockshox. You can check the models in the list below. Having a good suspension in your tandem will increase drastically the quality of your rides.
Captain stem and handlebars: In this specific case, both the captain and the stocker suffer from wrist discomfort so they wanted to mount SQlab handlebars with a greater setback, specifically 16°. This allows them to maintain a more natural and less forced wrist position. Ensuring greater comfort to be able to ride without discomfort for much longer.
